The Outstanding Loss Prevention Awards (OLPAs) have officially been launched, marking a new and independent initiative dedicated to recognising and rewarding excellence across the loss prevention sector.
The OLPAs will celebrate outstanding performance from individuals, teams, and organisations of all sizes, highlighting innovation, impact, and professionalism across all sectors.
Designed with integrity at their core, the awards are free to enter and operate under strict ethical principles. A key differentiator of the OLPAs is their independent judging process: judges are not appointed by the organisers but will be appointed independently. This approach ensures transparency, credibility, and sector-wide representation.
There is also a clear ethical sponsorship policy. The headline sponsor is UKPAC, and the event will be held in collaboration with ORIS‑CON. Neither UKPAC or ORIS-CON will nominate judges or take part in the judging process.
The awards are open to nominations from across the loss prevention community, offering an inclusive platform to showcase achievements and best practice.
“The launch of the OLPAs marks an important step forward for the loss prevention sector. These awards shine a light on the work undertaken to protect assets, reduce theft and fraud, minimise operational risk, and strengthen organisational resilience through effective security and risk‑management practices, while celebrating those making a real difference.”
Martin Gill, Founder of the OLPAs
The inaugural OLPAs ceremony will take place at a gala dinner on 16 March 2027 at the VOX Birmingham, held alongside ORIS-CON ’27, bringing together professionals from across the sector for an evening of recognition and celebration.
“We are delighted to collaborate with such a highly respected organisation, renowned for its expertise in delivering independent and credible award programmes. Partnering with the OLPAs in their inaugural year reflects our shared commitment to innovation and professional excellence. Hosting the awards alongside ORIS-CON will provide a valuable opportunity to bring the sector together to recognise outstanding achievement across the industry.”
Louise Kadege, CEO of ORIS
